3. Who introduced trekking in Nepal?
Trekking in Nepal was introduced by Lieutenant Colonel James Owen Merion Roberts, commonly known as Colonel Jimmy Roberts. A decorated British Army officer and mountaineer, he organized the first commercial trek in Nepal in 1965, leading a group of British tourists from Kathmandu to the Annapurna region. This initiative marked the beginning of organized trekking tourism in the country.
