Brief Planning Of Kathmandu Valley Tour

Note: If you arrive in Kathmandu on an early flight and have some free time, you can enjoy a bit of sightseeing based on your interests.

  • We’ll start with Kathmandu Durbar Square, a historic site where kings were once crowned and also home to the living goddess Kumari, the powerful Bhairav Temple, beautifully carved palaces, and centuries-old courtyards that reflect Nepal’s royal history.
  • Secondly, we’ll visit Swayambhu, a sacred hilltop stupa where you’ll find prayer wheels spinning, monkeys playing, and a stunning view of the valley, all while experiencing a peaceful atmosphere that has drawn pilgrims for centuries.
  • Secondly, we’ll visit Then, we’ll head to Boudhanath, a massive stupa that is a center of Tibetan Buddhism, where we can walk around the prayer wheels and soak in the peaceful ambiance surrounded by monasteries and fluttering prayer flags.
  • Lastly, for today, we’ll go to see the evening life of the sacred Pashupatinath, one of the holiest Hindu temples in Nepal, where we can witness the ancient rituals performed on the banks of the Bagmati River and see the stunning golden pagoda and sacred cremation ghats.
  • Today, the tour starts in Bhaktapur, a charming old city full of art, culture, and tradition. As we walk through the square, we’ll see temples, stone statues, and ancient palaces.
  • We’ll visit the 55-Window Palace, the Vatsala Temple, and the tall and impressive Nyatapola Temple. We can also explore the small streets and stop by Pottery Square to watch local people shaping clay by hand. If you are interested, we can also participate in this activity and later try the famous local yogurt called juju dhau.
  • After enjoying Bhaktapur, we’ll make our way to Patan Durbar Square. Here, we’ll take a relaxed walk around the temples and courtyards, visit the old royal palace, and see beautiful artwork made by skilled hands. Patan is known for its peaceful feeling and deep connection to history.
  • Later in the afternoon, we’ll drive to Nagarkot, a quiet hill town where we can unwind and enjoy fresh air and views of the mountains. If the weather is clear, we might even catch a beautiful sunset. We will end this day in the peaceful lap of nature, enjoying the calm and quiet that surrounds us.
  • We will wake up early in the morning to watch the beautiful sunrise over the mountains. From our hotel, we can enjoy the calm view as the first light touches the tall peaks. After that, we will have a warm and tasty breakfast while still enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
  • Then, we will pack up and leave Nagarkot, taking one last look at the quiet hills and villages along the way. As we return to Kathmandu, we carry with us the memories of the places we visited, the people we met, and the peaceful moments we shared.
