Royal Trek was named when King Charles (then Prince) and his 90-person entourage explored this route in the early eighties. It is one of the short and easy treks available near Pokhara. The trek passes through the foothills of the Annapurna Himalayas and ends at the beautiful Begnas Lake. Trekking through the Royal trail provides an opportunity to catch the diverse cultures of local communities of the region. This short trek allows one to follow Prince Charles’s footsteps.

Day Wise Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)
Pick-up from Tribhuvan International Airport
Transfer to a hotel in Thamel.​

Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Fly (25 mins) or drive (6-7 hours) to Pokhara
On the drive, we will sit back and enjoy the beautiful surrounding views of the landscapes and the mountains.
You can also take a flight to Pokhara, which takes about 25 minutes.
Day 3: Pokhara to Kalikasthan (1370 m) – 4/5 hours
After breakfast, a private vehicle will transfer us from the hotel to Bijaypur.
The trek begins through paddy fields and a river crossing.
After a 4-hour hike, we reach Kalikasthan and stay overnight at a lodge.
Day 4: Trek from Kalikasthan to Syaklung (1760 m) – 5/6 hours
We continue the trek through several villages and follow a ridge trail.
Enjoy stunning views of the Lamjung and Annapurna mountains along the way.
After a 5-hour hike, we arrive at Syaklung (1760m) for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Trek from Syaklung to Chisapani (1500m) – 5/6 hours
We begin early, trekking through traditional Gurung villages and experiencing their culture.
The trail leads through lush vegetation with rhododendron and pine forests.
After a 6-hour hike, we reach Chisapani (1550m) for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Trek to Begnas and return to Pokhara (800 m) – 4/5 hours
On the final day, we hike downhill to Rupa Lake and explore its surroundings.
Continuing the trek, we reach Begnas Lake and enjoy a peaceful boating experience.
Afterward, we return to Pokhara, marking the end of our trek.
